The current favored economist of the DC elites, Mark Zandi, is
trying to push the idea of how much worse the financial crisis
would've been w/o all the "stimulus." He attempts to make the point
by claiming that it would have reached at 10% (or much higher)
without all the bailouts, etc.
One problem for him (and 0bama, of course) - unemployment has been
at or near 10% for about a year now .. and the exact figure seems to
hinge only on whether the stats people in the Labor Dept. can
actually count.
This really amplifies the foolishness of 0bama's 8% boast in Jan.,
2009.
