Subject: Re: In practice, neither party is going to "cut spending"

Message:

so the real choices before us are:

Dems - Higher taxes, higher spending, higher defecits
Repubs - Lower taxes, higher spending, higher defecits

Now Obama has "broken the mold" of Modern Dem Presidents in that
under his watch we keep seeing the defecits rise, the debt pile on.

Under Clinton and Carter, the debt went down.
Under Reagan, GHWB, GWB it went up.

In many ways Obama is the worst of both worlds. He spends like a Pub
and Taxes like a Dem.

Tax cuts don't cause deficits, borrowing and spending does.  --  SemperFidog   Tue Jul 27 2010 10:12:38 AM
So do tax cuts and spending... **  --  dawggonit   Tue Jul 27 2010 10:15:44 AM
Nope. Nothing about a tax cut "causes" a deficit.  --  SemperFidog   Tue Jul 27 2010 10:26:45 AM
